INSOMNIA.Electronic Music & Arts Festival 2026

1. Organiser, Festival and acceptance

The INSOMNIA.Electronic Music & Arts Festival 2026, hereinafter referred to as the “Festival”, is organised by José Pedro Bento Pinto de Morais Torres, Portuguese Tax Identification Number (NIF) 224799614, with address at Rua Miguel Soares, no. 8, 4770-824 Avidos, Vila Nova de Famalicão, Portugal, telephone +351 912 190 254 and email info@insomniafestival.com, hereinafter referred to as the “Organiser”.

The Organiser is responsible for organising the Festival and sells tickets through Shotgun, which is used as the Festival’s ticketing platform.

The Festival takes place from 28 to 30 August 2026 at Parque de Campismo de São Gião, Oliveira do Hospital, Portugal. The site opens at 09:00 on 28 August, the music programme ends at 23:00 on 30 August and the site closes at 14:00 on 31 August.

These Terms govern the purchase and use of tickets and access to and attendance at the Festival, including the music areas, Mystic Garden, Therapy Island, markets, food and beverage areas, campsite, Caravan Park and parking areas.

The purchase or use of a ticket means that the participant had the opportunity to consult and accept these Terms. Any specific conditions presented at the time of purchase and operational rules communicated by the Organiser supplement this document. In the event of conflict, mandatory law and these Terms prevail over general information contained in the FAQ.

2. Ticket purchases, prices and use

The official sales channels are the Festival website and Shotgun. The Organiser does not guarantee the validity of tickets acquired through any other channel.

The total price, taxes and applicable fees are displayed before the purchase is completed. Sales phases, ticket categories and prices are subject to availability and may end without prior notice when the allocated quantity or authorised capacity has been reached.

Each ticket contains a unique code. The purchaser must check the purchase details, keep the ticket secure and not disclose its code or QR code. If a ticket is duplicated, only the first code validly scanned will grant access.

Forged, altered, duplicated, cancelled, previously used or resold tickets in breach of these Terms are invalid. The Organiser may refuse access and report suspected fraud to the authorities.

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in specific conditions, tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded due to a change of mind, purchaser error, personal inability to attend or late arrival. As the contract concerns a leisure activity scheduled for specific dates, the general 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply.

3. Official resale and tickets acquired from third parties

Resale is permitted exclusively through the official Shotgun Resale feature and is subject to the conditions, eligibility rules, deadlines and fees set by the platform. Listing a ticket for resale does not guarantee that it will be sold or that its holder will receive a refund.

Once a resale is completed through Shotgun Resale, the original ticket can no longer be used and a valid ticket is issued or made available to the new purchaser in accordance with the platform’s operation.

Resale through TicketSwap, social media, unauthorised platforms or any other external channel is expressly prohibited. Tickets acquired through such channels will not be accepted for entry to the Festival. The Organiser accepts no responsibility for payments, fraud or losses arising from such transactions.

Any free transfer or change of ticket holder must be completed using the tools made available by Shotgun or approved in advance by the Organiser. Personal benefits, complimentary tickets, invitations, accreditations and other special categories may be non-transferable.

4. Refunds, changes, postponement and cancellation

No refund is due for personal reasons, loss of a ticket or wristband, refusal of entry resulting from a breach of these Terms, transport problems or weather conditions that do not legally or materially prevent the Festival from taking place.

The Organiser may make non-material adjustments to the order of performances, schedules, activities, access arrangements, services and configuration of areas where necessary for artistic, technical, operational, weather-related, environmental or safety reasons. Such changes will be communicated through the official channels whenever possible.

Where a change of venue, date, time, programme or main artists, an interruption, postponement or cancellation gives rise to a statutory right to a refund, the Organiser will communicate the procedure, deadline and amount legally due. A change to non-essential elements does not, by itself, give rise to a right to a refund.

If the Festival is postponed, tickets remain valid for the new date, without prejudice to any rights granted to purchasers by law. In the event of cancellation or interruption due to force majeure, the applicable legal rules and the instructions communicated by the Organiser will apply.

The Organiser does not reimburse external expenses, including travel, accommodation, equipment or services contracted from third parties, unless otherwise required by law.

5. Access, identification, minors, wristbands and re-entry

Access is subject to presentation of a valid ticket and compliance with these Terms, the official age classification, the authorised capacity and safety instructions. The Organiser may request an official photo identification document, in a legally valid format, to verify age, identity or entitlement to a special ticket category or benefit.

Children under 14 years of age are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a responsible adult. Minors under 16 may only enter and remain at the Festival when accompanied by their parents or by a duly identified adult who assumes responsibility for them. The adult must supervise the minor throughout the Festival.

Free admission and other age-related benefits are personal and may require advance registration, a separate ticket and documentary proof. Alcohol may only be sold to and consumed by persons aged 18 or over.

A ticket may be exchanged for an access wristband. The wristband is personal and non-transferable and must remain fitted and intact. Loss, removal, cutting, tampering or transfer may result in refusal of access or re-entry. Any replacement is subject to verification by the Organiser and is not guaranteed.

Entry, exit and re-entry are subject to the schedules, access points and controls defined by the Organiser. The closure of the site at 14:00 on 31 August requires all participants, vehicles and equipment to leave.

Entry may be refused or a person may be required to leave, without a refund where legally permitted, if they present an invalid ticket, put persons or property at risk, engage in violence, threats, harassment, theft, vandalism or unauthorised trading, are intoxicated to an extent that may compromise safety, enter restricted areas or disobey lawful instructions issued by the Organiser, security staff, medical teams or public authorities.

6. Prohibited items, conduct and substances

The following items are not permitted on the Festival site:

• glass containers or objects
• weapons, ammunition, sharp or blunt objects, or any other object capable of causing harm
• fireworks, explosives, fuels, flammable materials or hazardous substances
• open fires, camping gas appliances, stoves, burners or similar equipment
• lasers, drones, flags, poles or other objects that obstruct visibility, circulation or safety
• cameras, professional photography, video or audio equipment, sound systems or transmission equipment without authorisation
• illegal substances or goods intended for unauthorised sale, distribution, advertising or commercial activity.

Violent, discriminatory, intimidating or sexually inappropriate conduct, conduct that disrupts the operation of the Festival, and damage to nature, facilities, equipment, vehicles or third-party property are also prohibited.

Required medicines, syringes and medical devices are permitted in accordance with the law. Sufficient information may be requested to confirm the need and ensure safety. The Organiser may prevent prohibited items from entering and request their removal from the site or delivery to the authorities. The Organiser has no obligation to store such items.

7. Security checks, alcohol and smoking

To protect participants, staff and facilities, tickets, wristbands, identity documents, luggage, belongings and vehicles may be checked using legally permitted methods. Refusal to undergo a necessary and proportionate check may result in refusal of entry or permission to remain.

The possession, sale, distribution or consumption of illegal substances is prohibited. Situations that may constitute a criminal offence or a danger to others may be reported to the authorities.

The Organiser and food and beverage operators may refuse the sale or supply of alcohol to persons under 18, persons unable to provide proof of age or visibly intoxicated persons.

Smoking, including the use of electronic cigarettes or equivalent devices, is prohibited in parking areas and in any area where prohibited by law, signage or safety instructions. Cigarette ends must be disposed of only in the designated containers.

8. Campsite, fire safety and environmental protection

Access to the campsite is included in the General Pass and is permitted only while the Festival site is open. Tents and equipment must be installed exclusively in the designated areas and must not obstruct access routes, emergency paths or safety equipment.

Participants may bring food and drink for personal consumption into the campsite, provided they are not carried in glass containers and all safety restrictions communicated by the Organiser are observed.

Open fires, camping gas appliances, stoves, burners, fuels and any naked flame are prohibited. Food preparation involving heat may take place only at points expressly provided and authorised for that purpose. Their use may be suspended at any time because of fire risk, an official alert level or instructions issued by the authorities.

Each participant must keep their area clean, separate and dispose of waste in the designated locations, respect the natural environment and remove all belongings before the site closes. Abandoning tents, furniture or other equipment is prohibited.

For reasons relating to fire, weather, environmental protection, public health or an emergency, the Organiser may restrict access, change the campsite layout, suspend equipment or order an evacuation. Participants must immediately comply with such instructions.

9. Caravan Park, parking and vehicles

The Caravan Park and parking areas are subject to availability, the appropriate pass or ticket, specific access rules and the instructions of on-site staff. Entry to the Caravan Park begins when the Festival site officially opens at 09:00 on 28 August.

There is no pre-parking area and vehicles may not remain near the entrances before the official opening. Drivers must plan their arrival accordingly and must not block roads, private property, emergency routes or local traffic.

Vehicles must travel at low speed, remain in the designated areas and comply with safety instructions. Internal circulation and exits may be temporarily restricted for operational or emergency reasons.

Smoking, lighting fires, cooking and using flammable materials are prohibited in the parking areas. Generators and unauthorised electrical connections are not permitted.

The Caravan Park and parking areas do not provide individual custody or guarding of vehicles or property. Each user must lock their vehicle and protect their belongings, without prejudice to any liability that may legally be attributed to the Organiser.

10. Domo Camp, markets, food and beverage services and other services

Domo Camp is an external and independent service. Booking, payment, installation, cancellation and use are contracted directly with the relevant service provider and are governed by the conditions communicated by that provider.

Food and beverage services, markets and other activities operated by third parties may have their own prices, schedules and terms. Complaints concerning the specific provision of those services should be addressed to the relevant operator, without prejudice to consumer rights and the Organiser’s own liability where applicable.

The Organiser does not guarantee the uninterrupted availability of specific products, services, payment methods or operators throughout the Festival.

11. Health, safety, animals, liability and personal property

Medical and security teams are present throughout the Festival. In an emergency, participants must immediately seek assistance from a team member or assistance point, or call 112, as appropriate.

Participation involves risks inherent to an outdoor event, including loud sound, bright or flashing lights, uneven ground, dust, insects, heat, cold and changing weather conditions. Each participant must use appropriate protection, remain hydrated, understand their limits and follow medical and safety instructions.

Pets are not permitted. Legally recognised assistance dogs are admitted when properly identified and accompanied by the beneficiary, foster family or trainer, in accordance with the law.

Participants are responsible for any damage they cause to persons, animals, facilities, the natural environment or property and for supervising any minors in their care.

The Organiser is liable for damage legally attributable to it. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability concerning life, physical integrity or health.

The Organiser is not responsible for the loss, theft, damage or abandonment of personal property where the event is not attributable to it. Found items may be handed in at the designated point on site or reported to info@insomniafestival.com, with no guarantee of recovery.

12. Image, intellectual property, data, communications and disputes

12.1 Photography, video and image rights

Authorised teams may photograph and film the Festival for documentation, archival, information and communication purposes. Participants may appear incidentally in wide shots of the audience, spaces and activities.

Individualised images, interviews and promotional close-ups will be handled in accordance with the law and, where required, subject to authorisation, with enhanced protection for minors. Reasoned requests for information, objections or removal may be sent to info@insomniafestival.com.

Personal and non-commercial photography and recording are permitted provided they do not adversely affect third parties, performances or safety. Broadcasting, commercial exploitation and the use of professional equipment without authorisation are prohibited.

12.2 Intellectual property and personal data

The Festival’s name, trademarks, visual identity, content, images, music and performances are protected by intellectual property rights. Commercial exploitation without the authorisation of the relevant rights holders is prohibited.

Personal data required for ticket purchases, communications and Festival operations are processed by the Organiser and, where applicable, by Shotgun, in accordance with the law and the Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy.

12.3 Official communications, complaints and dispute resolution

Official communications are made through the Festival website, email, Shotgun and official social media channels. Material changes will be communicated directly whenever possible.

In the event of a consumer dispute, the consumer may contact the Centro de Arbitragem de Conflitos de Consumo da Região de Coimbra (CACRC): Av. Fernão Magalhães, no. 240, 1st floor, 3000-172 Coimbra; +351 239 821 690; geral@cacrc.pt; www.cacrc.pt, without prejudice to the right to bring proceedings before the competent courts.

Portuguese law applies. The Portuguese-language version shall prevail, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights.
